Runners who deferred their entry from the event of Athens Marathon 2020 or Athens Half Marathon 2020 to the event of Athens Marathon 2021 and cannot participate or/and do not meet the current Terms & Conditions of Participation, in line with the Health Protocol approved by the National Public Health Organization and the General Secretariat of  Sports, have the options listed below until 30 September 2021:

1. Defer their entry to Athens Marathon 2022 event, in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of Participation valid at the time (Deferral of their registration to Athens Marathon 2022 event will be final and there will be no possibility for refund of registration fee).

2. Refund of the registration fee, according to the above Cancellation Policy of the event (deduction of 10.00€ as handling fees).

Any due refund will be settled within a period of 60 days after the event.

In the extreme case that the 2021 Athens Marathon event is cancelled after relevant order by possible health protection measures against the coronavirus pandemic or due to other unforeseen circumstances, the registration of each runner will automatically be transferred/deferred to the next Athens Marathon event. In cases of group registrations, the registration fee will be automatically transferred/deferred to the next Athens Marathon event (and not the registrations themselves). The same process will apply to the excessive number of runners, in case the number of participants is reduced by a decision of the Greek State, and the participants will be determined in terms of registration priority order.
