''ATHENS MARATHON. THE AUTHENTIC'': THE APPLICATION PERIOD FOR PARTICIPATION IN OUR 2019 VOLUNTEERING PROGRAM HAS NOW STARTED!

We wish to thank you warmly for your interest and trust in AMA's Volunteering Program and we invite you once again to join our dynamic and ever-growing Volunteering Family!

Our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM can be found HERE.

Our constant aim is to grow, celebrate together and evolve together! 2019, marks a new period for the Athens Marathon as it is now a TWO-day event.

Each participation-presence counts separately in the dissemination of values of co-operation, collaboration and diversity that are absolutely necessary in shaping our personal identity. In our Volunteering Program, we aim to higlight volunteering as a necessary attitude in life: an active way of intervening in the social sphere, representing the hope for significant changes around us, but also as the only solution to the problem of division, individualism and introversion.

We are a TEAM based on our good intentions, consistency, respect, always open to new ideas, we recognize what we do and learn from our mistakes; representing modern heroes of everyday life!

We are all born rich because our only true fortune is the time we spend on this earth and how we choose to spend it. Let's learn from each other and create new values such as reciprocity, social solidarity and the strengthening of collective consciousness!

On a Race- road level:
The 10km Road Race will be now held on Saturday afternoon (ie one day before the Marathon Race day on November 9, 2019), thus enabling SEGAS to greatly increase the limit for 10km Race entries while manage the growing demand for the vast majority of our country's runway community.

The Marathon Road on the original route will run on Sunday, November 10, 2019, as usual with a small current increase of 20,000 runners. On the same day, a large Single Road Race of 5KM will be held in the morning only.
